Rhino 6 (Beta) has Subdivision Modelling capability

Rhino 3D is one of the most versatile and popular 3D modelling and Computer Aided Design program around. Version 6 of this powerful design tool will be out soon. Here is a small video demonstration that Studiorola did to demonstrate its newly acquired Sub-division modelling capability.

In addition to its existing set of powerful NURBS modelling tools, the ability to employ Sub-division modelling workflow will further enhance the usefulness of this flexible 3D software. Unlike conventional 3D modelling programs, Rhino’s Subdivison surface can be converted into NURBS surfaces, as demonstrated by the video above.

We will be releasing a Subdivision Modelling Course for Rhino soon.

  1. You are good. The model animation video. And the use of the gumball. Nothing to say. Slow it down and talk would be an addition that may help. How to animate .3dm files, with what aps is a pain. Balistics and render was (is) not their strong point. Advice is indeed needed. Thanks

  2. Hi Phil,

    Thanks for the comments.

Rhino 6’s rendering capability is greatly improved with the introduction of Cycles Render.

As for animation, this capability can be included using Bongo plugin. Regards.
