Welcome to Studio Rola. My name is Sim Pern Chong. I am an Industrial Designer by profession. Industrial Design is the field that deals with the creative and aesthetic aspects of Product Design and Development. The scope of work is often a marriage between Technicality and Creative Artistry.

Besides Industrial Design, I also create 3D graphics and artworks for leisure as well as commercial purposes.

Presented on this website are some of my portfolio and design-related works. However, due to confidentiality-related issues, only a handful of all the completed projects are presented here. The full scope of my portfolio includes projects done for clients within the following fields:

1. Large electronic and consumer product companies such as Philips, Creative Technology, Hewlett Packard, MK.
2. Military organisation Singapore Armed Forces.
3. Local Singapore-based manufacturing companies.
4. Graphics and design houses
5. Individual inventors and entrepreneurs.

On this website, there are much information and resources pertaining to digital 3D modelling and visualization. This includes tutorials pertaining to the application of low cost and open source software programs for Industrial Design as well as 3D design in general. Additionally, links to the various 2D and 3D application are also generously provided on this website. These materials may be especially helpful to a design student, budget-conscious designer or company.
