As you may know, Truespace will be gone soon. It was acquired by Microsoft not too long ago. However, Microsoft has decided to discontinue it. To read this announcement from the Founder of Truespace, click here.

Personally, I am not an active user of this 3D modelling, rendering and animation program. I had version 2 of the program long ago and used that version to create some artworks. But since then, I have moved on to use other 3D applications.

When version 7.6 became free, I downloaded it and gave it a try. The program had changed too much for me to re-familarise and be comfortable with.

Although I do not use Truespace now, it is still kinda sad to know that such an established 3D application will be gone soon. Truespace is certainly one of the pioneer in the area of 3D modelling, rendering and animation.

Anyway, there is an online petition for the Open Sourcing of Truespace. It is at:
