New Sci-fi artwork – Work-in-progress

I am working on a new science fiction artwork. Currently still a work-in-progress. 
The model below was built using Rhino 3D. The rendering was done in Kerkythea 2008, the free high quality renderer that uses true Global Illumination. This scene was partially lighted using a HDRI light probe.
There are still more 3D models to be built. I intend to use Blender3D for the other models. As of this writing, I am working on the concept development for the other models. The idea is to create small robot-like entities that serve as mini-repairmen for this communication device.
